Start & Improve Your Business Program Description
Welcome to the Improve Your Business Training of Trainers workshop!
This Improve Your Business (IYB) online Trainer development programme was designed to fulfil the basic requirements for IYB trainer certification, the requirements of the IYB programme delivery and the needs of the targeted trainers. The trainer development programme is divided into different units with assignments to designed to align the trainer skills to the IYB programme delivery requirements. Participants will be introduced to the IYB modules, selection and needs assessment criteria, adult learning principles, facilitation techniques and training methods. The Trainer development process entails the following steps;
– Preparation: TOT entry form selection
– Participate in a training of trainers workshop
– Conduct supervised training of entrepreneurs for certification: Action plans, assessment for certification
To register as an SIYB trainer a candidate needs to full-fill the minimum requirement for Trainer selection which is a combination of at least two out of the four elements below:
1. Tertiary Level Education
2. Business Development Service provision experience
3. Experience with adult education and facilitation
4. Own business experience.
